      • The cameras and scanners will gather color with sensors that sense the shades of red, green, and blue at every pixel location in the frame.
    12. Display and printing (RGB and CMYK):
      • Red, green, and blue subpixels are spread according to the required intensity. White is produced when these three subpixels are turned high.
      • Grey or shades of grey is produced when the subpixels are lowered.
      • The base color of the screen is achieved when the subpixels are turned off.
      • CMYK color space is used for printing on paper.
      • Colors are a mixture of cyan, magenta, yellow and black ink.
      • White is achieved by white paper and no ink for those particular areas.
      • When we want white, a white spot is added to the CMYK process.
    13. Video Processing (RGB or YUV):
    14. In the YUV color space, the TV/video signals are present.
    15. When you want editing as output in the computer these are converted to RGB.
    16. When you YUV as output, also YUV supports video editing programs, you don’t have to change the RGB for internal processing.
    17. All the data need to be changed to RGB for the screen display irrespective of the color space for editing.

    14. RGB Display and CMYK Printing:

      • Display screens are otherwise called RGB devices that have red, green, and blue pixels.
      • Printers are the CMYK devices that use cyan, magenta, yellow and black inks.
      • Black is achieved by equal parts of cyan, magenta, and yellow ink.
      • Four color CMYK process is achieved by the black ink.

    15. RGB Color Conversions:

      • When you need to print RGB is converted into CMYK.
      • When you need to edit a video RGB is converted into YUV.
